The injuries keep mounting to stars in the NFL. The latest is now the Buffalo Bills star wide receiver Sammy Watkins who was placed on injured reserve due to discomfort with his foot. It is the same foot he had surgery on in the offseason. Watkins has been complaining about the discomfort since after their week one game with the Baltimore Ravens. Their is currently no plan for Watkins to have surgery again on the foot and it is expected that resting and rehabbing the foot is the only way it is going to get better. Although he has been placed on IR he will have a chance to return after 8 weeks if the foot is better. This is not the news that the Bills head coach Rex Ryan wanted to hear as he is on the coaching hot seat and the rest of the Bills wide receivers are not close to the talent level of Watkins. The Bills have signed wide receiver Justin Hunter who played for the Tennessee Titans and has recently been released by the Miami Dolphins. Hunter will not be the answer at wide receiver that the Bills need but it is worth a shot at this point in the season.
