The power of the NFL helped Lady Gaga’s sales go up 1000% a day after her much talked about Super Bowl halftime show. Her show received positive feedback and she did it without any controversy that usually is involved in a Super Bowl halftime performance. According to Nielsen Music, Lady Gaga sold 125,000 song downloads after the Super Bowl. That was a 960% increase compared to the day before the game. She sold over 23,000 albums after her halftime performance which is a 2,000% increase. Demand for her songs on music services such as Spotify and Pandora also went through the roof proving that the NFL can turn anything into gold. The Super Bowl halftime show is so popular that soon music artists might have to pay the NFL for the opportunity to perform instead of the agreement that they have now.
