GNC’s Super Bowl commercial wasn’t controversial or inappropriate but it still got banned from being aired during the Super Bowl telecast on FOX.  GNC’s Jeff Hennion was surprised by the decision since for 45 days they where under the belief the commercial would be aired. Six days before the game they where notified by FOX that there commercial was rejected by the NFL. GNC must of forgot that their company is listed as a prohibited company by the NFL and the players union. The main reason they are prohibited is because they sell products that contain two substances banned by the NFL one which is DHEA, an anabolic agent, and the other is stimulant synephrine. The company is getting their money’s worth with the commercial even with it not being aired during the Super Bowl as fans love seeing banned Super Bowl commercials online. Below is the banned GNC commercial.
