Yahoo daily fantasy sports operation has decided to stop taking credit card deposits from its users. Daily fantasy sports players number one way of funding their accounts to play in contests is by way of credit card so it was odd that Yahoo would stop accepting such payments. Yahoo let their users know of this new policy in an email where they said they would look to implement other methods of payments if they become available. They currently will continue accepting deposits made using PayPal as the their new number one way to make deposits. Users who have a credit card tied in with their PayPal account will technically still be using their credit card to make deposits. The only difference is PayPal will be handling the credit card payment for the user and not Yahoo. This change could have something to do with some of the regulations states are making to daily fantasy sports nationwide. Yahoo however has not confirmed the reason for the change. PayPal will be happy to be the way to deposit money into players accounts and hope that DraftKings and FanDuel follow but they still continue to process credit card payments as well as accept PayPal deposits.
